It’s always nice to see someone from “back home!”
Vic and Brenda Bauman, the elder from our sending church in Smithville, Ohio, were here for a few days. They were invited to teach several days at a pastors seminar over in Dumay and afterwards they blessed us with a visit! We met them up at Hospital Lumiere, had a tour of the hospital together and then brought them to our home.
We enjoyed showing them a little of our lives on a daily basis, as well as Grace’s school, SEED campus, downtown Les Cayes, some Haitian homes, and of course, a drive to the beach over in Port Salut. They were even able to attend the Wednesday night missionary Bible Study with us.
Welcome back anytime!

Vic got to give something to our own “Lazarus” who often sits outside our gate.

Visiting some friends made for some interesting moments. They gave us their chairs but sat on buckets!

Taking time to visit a neglected local church and school for the deaf now being developed by Tony & Cilda deMarcado, previously missionaries in Jamaica. The deaf are totally rejected in Haiti.

Watching the deaf children receive their new clothes!

Some squeals of excitement but otherwise it was completely quiet!

Thanks for our new clothes from the Deaf School at Cambry!

An unforgettable image of sacrifice and service!

Sharing some Haitian meals was a fun experience!

This meal was at the beach!

A beach vendor finds Brenda!

It ended up being a little overcast, but it was perfect for picking up shells!

We commented on how many things we saw were right out of the Bible!

While visiting the new dairy program site, we got to see the top of the gazebo being finished. The guy on top slid down!
